Shannon Cottrell serves as the Executive Director of Friends of UNILV, bringing a deep commitment to student-athlete empowerment and community impact. She has been with the organization since its founding, previously serving for three years as the Director of Athlete Engagements and Relations. Since 2021, Shannon has played a pivotal role in advancing UNLV’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives. 

Under her leadership, NIL opportunities at UNLV have grown to support seven programs, including four women’s teams. She has been instrumental in securing NIL engagements for every student-athlete on the football, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s soccer teams.
